Horse Tributes -
Special Friends Who Will Never Be Forgotten

Our Horse Tributes - this page is dedicated to the horses who have given us so much enjoyment and are sadly no longer with us.

Have you lost a dear equine friend? Are you trying to get over what happened and finding that you have a big void in your life?

We understand as we have been through it too. That's why we wanted to have a special place on our website so you can record your favourite memories or personal thoughts in honour of your horse.

horse tributes - in memory of some very special equine friends

Remember the good times you shared over the years?

The happy memories and the unique bond you built up together? We would love to hear about them when you feel ready to share them with us.

Are you thinking that you will never get another horse to replace the one you've lost?

The simple answer is you won't be able to replace the horse you lost but you will go on to love many more in time, because every horse has their own special ability to fill a place in our hearts.

Grief - Coming To Terms With Your Loss

How do you move on? It is totally natural that you will grieve over your loss - shock, disbelief and anger are all very tangible emotions following the death of a horse.

Coming to terms with what has happened can take weeks or months and well-meaning friends may try to tell you just to "buck up and get over it".

It may be that they have not experienced it themselves but anyone who has ever lost a horse through tragic accident, illness or old age will know that the pain can be heartwrenching and the loss almost unbearable.

Our hearts go out to you and our advice would be to take one day at a time and do what feels right for you.

You will know when you feel ready to accept the love of another horse and return it in equal measure. For the time being, why not read the contributions and horse tributes of others who have similar experiences and let them strengthen you for the days ahead. If you feel able, why not contribute your own horse tribute using the form below.

Share Your Own Special Memories

Your comments and experiences are sure to help others in the same situation and we deeply appreciate your contributions. Click here to view the Tender Tributes generously submitted by some of our visitors.
